Navien NPE-180S 150,000 BTU Condensing PremiumGas Tankless Water Heater

Navien has been pushing the boundaries of efficiency for 25 years. The NPE-180S is a result of their dedication to providing an effective and green water heating unit. The NPE-180S and all Navien models utilize condensing technology which captures additional heat lost by typical water heaters. The Navien NPE-180S's energy factor is superior to both traditional water heaters and noncondensing tankless models. Reduced vent temperatures due to this condensing technology allow you to use PVC venting, which saves you money and contributes to the ease of installation. The Navien NPE-180S has excellent technology for reducing your heating costs and carbon footprint.

Product Features:

Help the Environment
The Navien NPE-180S will reduce your home's impact on the environment. Eco Pre-mixed Burners reduce CO and NOx emissions by combining gas heating and air before ignition. The result is a nearly 75% reduction in polluting emissions. In fact, an installed Navien NPE-180S reduces CO2 by the same amount as 31 cypress trees.

Incredible Efficiency
Navien products reduce energy consumption without sacrificing comfort. Their tankless models, such as this one, only heat water when you need it, reducing energy expenditure. Also, the NPE-180S uses a secondary heat exchanger to transform condensation and exhaust into additional heat. This reduces the ventilation temperature and increases the energy factor. The NPE-180S's efficiency translates directly into savings on operation costs for you!

Tremendous Durability
The Navien NPE-180S uses stainless steel for the Eco Pre-mixed Burner as well as both heat exchangers. This prevents corrosion and increases the lifespan of your NPE-180S.

A Product You Can Trust
Navien products are recognized by an array of organizations. The NPE-180S is certified by Energy Star; the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute; the Canadian Standards Association; and the National Sanitation Foundation.

  1. Texas Freeze Out-Performer 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Mar 2021

Yes we had problems with some fittings busting and Navien flat footed not expecting the needs for parts. HOWEVER, we had some bad luck here in Texas and I tell you these units got the job done. Very easy to service yourself and replace fittings once you find them. Very well engineered also. Despite many operational perils and with parts super glued and epoxied, the damn things kept heating up water! Navien pissed me off because they wouldn't help us with parts directly and these were extreme emergencies BUT there parts diagram's are easily located on the net and many units like 180's and A's and 240's share many of the same parts. I tracked some down, some were on backorder as these units ARE NOT DESIGNED TO FAIL. So parts availability can be an issue but the ABS plastic fittings took Super glue and epoxy pretty well. Some small leaks had to be evacuated from the unit with plastic shielding but the damn things put out HOT H2O with zero drama! The lifespan on these units is 20 years, they have performed flawlessly and without though for us for 5 at the time of this disaster. I bought another new unit from My Tankless Water Heater.com and they were awesome to work with and great customer service even in this disaster. I'd install them all over again and I wasn't sure I'd say that in the thick of the freeze. As the dust has settled and we've worked through the parts issues, I'd say yes in a heartbeat! Hope this helps someone!
